3 hours of immersion in the world of speciality coffee! This masterclass is for you if you love good coffee. Whether you’re a curious coffee lover, an enthusiast keen to understand what you’re drinking better, or simply keen to gain a better understanding of what you drink every day… this session is here to gently introduce you to the fascinating world of speciality coffee. 🟤 Introduction to speciality coffee: understanding to savour better We’ll begin with an immersion into the world of coffee: What’s the difference between speciality coffee and mass-market coffee? Where does coffee come from? What are its geographical origins? What varieties of coffee plant are there, and how do they influence the flavour? What are the drying processes, and why are they so important? A comprehensive overview of the basics to help you understand what you’re drinking and why you love it :) ⚙️ From the perfect espresso to a guided tasting Time to get hands-on! We’ll guide you step by step through making an espresso by the book. What equipment is essential? Why is espresso so special? Which recipes can you try out at home? We’ll then move on to a comparative tasting of several espressos to refine your palate, understand the differences in flavour, balance and texture, and find your favourite espresso. 💡 Finding your coffee: personalised advice Because the right coffee is the one that suits you, we’ll round off this session with a personalised discussion: How do you choose the perfect coffee to suit your tastes? Which origins, roasts and flavour profiles suit you best? Where can you easily find them? You’ll leave with a wealth of tips to turn your future coffee tastings into real discoveries. ☕ Latte Art: the art of enhancing every cup Finally, it’s time to get creative! In this last section, you’ll learn how to froth milk to perfection, then create the three classic latte art designs: The heart 💛 The rosetta 🌿 The tulip 🌷 Fancy trying something different?
