Our artists
The talents who bring Frénésie to life through their creations.
- Painting
- Drawing
Frauke is an artist based in Brussels. After devoting years to printmaking and drawing, she now focuses mainly on painting. Her paintings are still lifes filled with the remains of pastries, like so many traces left by passers-by on the streets of Brussels. Alongside her work as a painter, Frauke has co-created a graphic novel. ‘Na jou’ is a visual story drawn in pencil that deals with heartbreak. It is a narrative that explores what it means to grieve on a day-to-day basis, in everyday life.

- Yoga
Hello, my name is Marie! I’m originally from Brittany, in France, and I’ve been practising yoga for over 7 years. After teaching at a community centre in Italy, I travelled to India this year to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training course, focusing on Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga. In this class, I’ll guide you through an accessible Hatha Yoga sequence, combining movement, breathing and postures. The class is open to all levels and taught in French and English. My aim is to create a warm and joyful space where you can move, reconnect with your body, listen to your inner self and simply enjoy the present moment. Come as you are - just bring your mat and a smile! 🌿✨

- Painting
Through my painting, I navigate between personal feelings and feminist thought, highlighting my fascination with the details of everyday life, with shimmer and transparency. My work is colourful; it dwells on the details and invites the viewer to slow down so they can gently explore the canvases, let themselves be guided by the light and unravel the layers.
- Theatre
I’ve always loved stories, and I began by studying ‘Theatre’ - with a capital ‘T’ - in lecture theatres before focusing my research on the Theatre of the Oppressed from 2016 onwards. As well as practising it ever since, I enjoy experimenting and blending it with other art forms, such as photography. I also dabble in the visual arts and writing. When a project takes on a collective nature, for me it is a kind of exploration of new ways of narrating the world as experienced on a daily and political level by those whose voices are less often heard. Linking personal experiences with those of a group through artistic expression thus becomes a political act and, even on a small scale, I hope it can bring about change. In recent years, I have focused on participatory projects centred on issues of gender and the public sphere. Currently based in Brussels, I’m often on the road in northern France to create collective works, mainly in priority neighbourhoods (Lille 2021-2024) and in rural areas of the Pas-de-Calais (2025). I am also touring a physical theatre talk entitled ‘We (shouldn’t have!) been at each other’s throats’ about female friendships and rivalries. In addition to my Master’s degree in History (Liège) and a second in Intercultural Mediation - Art and Social Responsibility (Lille), I have completed numerous training courses, including in the Theatre of the Oppressed, but not limited to that! I also hold a qualification as a trainer in feminist and emancipatory pedagogy. If I had to choose what to talk about - what I love and what shapes who I am - I’d no doubt mention all these creative projects and collective advocacy initiatives because they’re my passion, but also my flatmates and the importance of friendship in my life, reading on a terrace, swimming in wild waters, and my desire to find gentle, joyful spaces from which to fight against… all of this.
