1. The seller

Frénésie is the trading name of the company GASSAY SRL, whose registered office is at Boulevard Anspach 177, 1000 Brussels, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 1034.781.152 (RPM Brussels, VAT BE 1034.781.152). Its full contact details appear at the top of this page.

Some activities are led by guest artists or partners. Frénésie remains your seller and your only point of contact.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to every booking made on frenesie.be for an activity of the Frénésie agenda: workshop, event, exhibition or second-hand clothing sale, paid or free.

They do not cover what you order at the café, private hire (article 14), or activities booked on the website of another organiser: in that case, the terms of that organiser apply.

By booking, you accept these terms. The version that applies is the one in force on the day of your booking.

3. Booking

A booking takes four steps:

  1. you choose an activity in the agenda and, when there are several, a price option;
  2. you enter your name, your email address and the number of seats;
  3. you check the summary (activity, date, seats, total) and you accept these terms;
  4. you pay online if the activity is paid, or you confirm the booking if it is free.

Until the payment or the confirmation, you can correct your details or close the window without any commitment. The contract is concluded when the payment is accepted or, for a free activity, when the booking is confirmed on screen.

Frénésie keeps a record of your booking. You receive the confirmation by email: keep that message, it holds the details of your booking. Booking is possible in French, Dutch and English.

A booking holds 10 seats at most. Seats are allocated in the order of confirmed bookings. If the activity fills up while you are paying, you are refunded automatically and in full.

4. Price

Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. The price displayed includes the booking fee: it is the price you pay, nothing is added at payment. The summary of your booking shows the share of that fee.

What the price includes (materials, a drink) is stated on the page of the activity.

For a pay what you want activity, you choose your amount, from the stated minimum when there is one. No booking fee is added to it.

5. Payment

You pay online when you book, by Bancontact or by bank card. The payment is processed by Stripe, our payment provider: Frénésie neither sees nor stores your card details.

6. Confirmation and admission

As soon as your booking is recorded, you receive a confirmation email with a QR code. Show it at the door, on your phone or printed.

If nothing arrives within the hour, check your junk mail, then write to us.

7. No right of withdrawal

Our activities are leisure activities that take place on a specific date. In accordance with article VI.53, 12° of the Code of Economic Law, you do not have the 14-day right of withdrawal. Your booking is final as soon as the payment is confirmed.

8. If you cannot come

Your seat stays booked in your name. It is not refunded if you cancel, do not attend or arrive late. Two options remain open to you, under the conditions below: passing your seat on or asking for another activity.

You may pass your seat on to someone else, occasionally and at most for the price you paid (law of 30 July 2013 on the resale of tickets for events). Write to us before the activity starts and give the name of that person.

If you tell us at least 7 days before the activity, we offer you, whenever possible, another activity of the same price.

For a free activity, let us know if you cannot come: the seat will go to someone else.

9. If Frénésie cancels, postpones or changes an activity

If we cancel an activity, whatever the reason, we refund everything you paid, booking fee included, within 14 days of the announcement, to the payment method you used. We may offer you a new date or a credit instead: you are free to decline.

An activity may be cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In that case, we tell you 48 hours before at the latest.

If the date, the time or the essential content of an activity changes, we tell you by email and your booking stays valid. If the change does not suit you, you can ask for a full refund until the day before the new date.

10. Force majeure

If the cancellation results from an unforeseeable event beyond our control (decision of an authority, damage to the premises, severe weather, sudden illness of the person leading the activity), we owe you the refund set out in article 9, and no other compensation.

This limit does not apply in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence on our part, nor in the event of personal injury.

11. How activities run

  • Time. The activity starts at the stated time. After 15 minutes of delay, admission may be refused if the activity can no longer accommodate it.
  • Age. Unless the page says otherwise, activities are meant for people aged 16 and over. Younger participants are welcome with an adult; every participant has a booked seat.
  • Alcohol. We serve no alcoholic drink to anyone under 16, and no spirits to anyone under 18.
  • Instructions. Please follow the instructions of the person leading the activity, in particular when using tools.
  • Belongings. Your belongings remain in your care during the activity.

12. Photos and videos

We sometimes take photos or videos of the atmosphere during activities, for our website and our social media. If you would rather not appear, tell the team on site or write to us.

We publish no portrait without the consent of the person, and we remove a picture on request.

13. Promo codes

A promo code applies under the conditions announced with it: activities concerned, period, number of uses. One code per booking, one use per person.

It cannot be exchanged for money, nor applied after payment.

14. Private hire

Private hire and group requests are subject to a quote and to their own terms, sent with the quote.

15. Invoices

If you book as part of your professional activity, ask for your invoice by email and give your billing details and your VAT number.

16. Complaints and mediation

A question or a complaint? Write to us using the contact details at the top of the page: we reply within 10 working days.

If we cannot find a solution together, you can turn, free of charge, to the Consumer Mediation Service: Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8, box 1, 1000 Brussels, +32 2 702 52 20, contact@mediationconsommateur.be, mediationconsommateur.be.

17. Personal data

Your data is used to manage your booking and to send you the confirmation and the reminder of the activity. The details are in our privacy policy.

18. Applicable law and languages

These terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts are those designated by law, including the court of your place of residence.

They exist in French, Dutch and English. If the versions differ, the interpretation most favourable to the consumer applies.

If a clause is declared void, the others remain applicable.
